Learning At Home Is Fun

YES!!!  We can still learn and learning at home is awesome too!!!  We sent a letter to Pete The Cat... and are doing fun art projects inspired by watching classes from the Cincinnati zoo...

AND... on Friday art bags will be available for pick up and everyone will get a beautiful sea shell to decorate!  We may not be with our friends at school but Mrs. Kelli & I are doing our very best to keep learning fun!!!!  You can see us and our fancy shell art!  We can't wait to see what everyone does with theirs at home!  WE miss everyone but thank God every day that we are all healthy at home.

Can't Stop Us

The mobile packets are ready and you can see our friends working hard from home!!!!  This "break" from preschool isn't slowing us down at all!!!!  Mrs. Kelli & I miss our boys and girls very much but are very thankful we are all safe at home.  It's hard to understand what is going on around us but no matter what, God is with us and will see us through!  Thank you God for these preschool families and for watching over us!

Butterfly Friday

Even though we aren't at the preschool, we've been keeping track of our caterpillars.  Today was a magical day as we released our new friends into the bright sunshine.  It was a perfect day with lots of sun to welcome them into the world.

Be sure to check the preschool's Face Book page to hear Mr. Andy ready a book and watch our butterfly release.  Wishing everyone a happy, sunny Friday!

Our Dinosaur World

One last piece of art work... We had so much fun with dinosaurs in our art center that we each colored one and cut it out by ourselves!!!  If you take a close look at these dinosaurs you can see they have some tricky places to cut around.  I think this colorful dinosaur world is awesome... and, while we know it didn't look like this at all, it really is very cheerful.  #thinkhappydinothoughtstoday

Just A Thought

Sharing this to remind everyone to be faithful in this time of social distancing and health scare.  Let us all remember that God is with us!  Our class has been learning that during the church season of Lent we are showing Jesus how much we love Him by doing good deeds.  We can all do good deeds to share His love too.  Praying that this time is filled with "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control."  (Many thanks to Pastor Jay Gamelin for giving me the tune to these fruits of the spirit....)

Dinosaur Week

It was dinosaur week and I openly admit that I am not an expert on this topic, but trusted in my preschool students to keep me in check. (Because any honest preschool teacher will readily admit that his/her students are the true dinosaur experts... us grown ups have too much other stuff taking up space in our brains to remember how to even say all of the dinosaur names.)  So this week we had fun being paleontologists and exploring dinosaur eggs and putting together dinosaur bones to make a tiny Tyrannosaurus Rex.  We also had lots of fun with art projects and learning activities.  AND... God is so good that He gave us playground days to be as loud as any dinosaur on the playground.

AND to end our week we ALL made it to "flag" level with this amazing brain work!  You can see we set up a "dinosaur hunt" in our classroom... but it was a hunt for letters, shapes and numbers.  It was very tricky because there were different colors and we had to really take our time to find everything in our classroom and complete the worksheet.  I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about this activity but these boys and girls totally blew me away.  This was a piece of cake!  We are totally "rocking" preschool! (And keeping Mrs. Laura on her toes!)

The Caterpillars Are "Sleeping"

It all happened so fast!!!!  Miss Flower, Miss Blueberry, Mr. Kaiden & Mr. Captain America have grown up and are now in their chrysalis form.  They are "sleeping" while they turn into magical butterflies!  How Amazing!!!!  We can't wait to watch them sprout their wings and release them into the spring sunshine.
